Recalibration Of Noise Measurement Instruments

Why do I need to have my noise measurement instrument calibrated?

CalibrationPulsar Instruments sound level meters, dosemeters and acoustic calibrators are well known for their robustness and durability. However, an important factor of ensuring your equipment continues to function correctly is the annual recalibration and service; called in IEC standard 61672 “Routine Verification”.

Returning your equipment for service and recalibration to Pulsar Instruments gives us the opportunity to thoroughly check the instrument's performance and adjust if necessary the instrument, giving you total confidence that the measurements you take are correct and compliant. New firmware upgrades, batteries and any repair work (excluding microphone capsules & display screens) are also carried out at no extra charge.

To comply with National Standards and to validate your noise surveys all noise measurement equipment should have a current calibration certificate. Pulsar calibrations are performed in accordance with the recommendations and requirements of the appropriate International Standards; typically over 100 parameters are checked and reported.
